The RPDA mission encompasses a wide range of topics for professional development, we are always looking for presenters who can infuse workshops with practical hands-on skills and activities which are applicable to the classroom.

2024-2025 PRESENTER PROPOSALS

 

Professional Development Seminars are conducted at:   

  Monmouth Mall, Lower Level

                 180 Route 35 (Routes 35 & 36)

                   Eatontown, NJ 07724     

 

Upon our review of responses to our recent Annual Needs Assessment Survey the below general "umbrella" topics were deemed significant, please consider the following items when creating your workshop proposals. At the same time, do not hesitate to offer proposals which bring forward new and different topics which will interest our members and allow them to grow professionally.

 

  • Interventions, Strategies and Stress Management Practices for Students Diagnosed with Anxiety

  • Differentiating Math Instruction

  • Developing Social Skills in Early Childhood Programs

  • Implementing Effective Behavior Modification Models

  • Dealing with Other Mental Health Issues (e.g. School Refusal, Self-Harm, Trauma, Resilience Skills, Lack of Motivation)

  • Developing and Implementing SMART Goals

  • Interventions and Strategies for Students Diagnosed with ADHD/ ADD 

  • Addressing Mental Health Issues (e.g. Stress, Trauma, Depression, etc.)

  • Implementing Research-Based Therapies CBT/DBT/ACT

  • De-escalation and Addressing Problem Behavior in the Classroom

  • Effective Speech Therapy Strategies

  • Interventions and Strategies to Support Reading Comprehension and Small Group Instruction

  • Strategies and Supports for Students Diagnosed with Autism

  • Literacy Fluency and Comprehension Strategies

  • Social Emotional Learning: Effective Classroom Strategies

  • Effective Writing Skills to Support the Reading Writing Connection ( eg responding to text)

It is important to note that we continue to strive to narrow the appropriate grade level bands for presentations. Therefore, please indicate in your proposal the targeted audience and most appropriate grade level band (e.g. Preschool/K, Lower Elementary Grades, Middle School, High School). We understand that a number of the above mentioned topics overlap in other areas and also overlap grade level bands. Please know that these are just suggestions for your proposal.
